We use them in many applications. But most fray easily when used frequently and end up a fuzzy mess. Additionally, a primary goal for the Professor Nigel’s brand is to reduce use of plastic or other materials that are not recyclable, biodegradable or compostable.

The Professor’s Leather Cable Keeper is engineered to make cable management easy. It works with nearly any audio cable as well as other types of cable when needed. It is handmade in the USA from premium leather sourced from a US based tannery. With a little bit of care The Professor’s Leather Cable Keeper will have a very long lifespan like any quality leather product. However, should your Leather Cable Keeper meet an untimely demise, the all-leather and metal construction will keep plastic out of landfills

How does it work?

The cable loop will fit over most 1/4 inch TS and TRS connectors in the “default” position. This allows easy installation to your cable. However, it will not fall off when the cable is in use. Move the hardware to the secondary position when using audio cables with larger connectors, such as XLR connectors. The cable loop will now snugly slide over the connector. Installation is also easy for extra thick cables and connectors such beefy speaker and power cables. Simply remove the hardware and wrap loop end around the cable. Then reinstall the hardware after the of the wrap is folded over the cable.
