Fantastic build, cool color, great hardware and electronics, killer tone, very rare outside of Japan. Teal Green Metallic has probably been our “color of the year”. We are huge fans of the Hybrid series instruments from Fender.

Condition

This guitar is in Mint (as new) condition and was purchased as a new instrument. The Fender gig bag, warranty card, and wrench are included. This Telecaster weighs 7.3 pounds.

Overview

This specification Hybrid II Telecaster is from a 2024 Fender Special Run for a single musical instrument retailer in Japan.

The Hybrid series combines Vintage styling with modern features and is a well thought out build overall. Made in Japan, the Hybrid series is a great choice for players who want a vintage inspired guitar with modern playability and specifications. The 25.5-inch scale satin finished maple neck feels quick and comfortable to play with a 1.65-inch wide real bone nut and modern C-profile. A slab of gorgeously figured rosewood is used for the fretboard, which offers 22 expertly finished narrow tall frets, white dot position markers, and a beautiful, glossy matching headstock. The classic tonewood complement is rounded out with an alder body making a package that is full and detailed with plenty of depth, sparkle, and complexity. Quality hardware is used throughout with locking Kluson-style tuners and vintage style slanted brass saddle bridge.

Electronics and Tone

The Hybrid II features a pair of newly designed and great sounding Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil Telecaster pickups provide quintessential Tele tone with a modern twist. The bridge pickup offers plenty of Tele twang, clarity and articulation. The neck pickup offers full, round tones while still having great clarity and provides additional versatility than typical Tele neck pickups. The pickups also sound great together when switched to either wired in parallel or series positions, with plenty of usable tones to explore. The Hybrid II Tele sounds fantastic for clean or overdriven tones, with excellent note definition, complexity, and fullness for chords or lead runs.
