Otherwise, it’s in fantastic shape and comes with a RYOGA gig bag for safe transport. It has been professionally setup with D’Addario EXL110 (010-046) strings, medium action, optimal relief, pickup height, and dialed in intonation.
Overview
The RYOGA Hornet is the heart and soul of the RYOGA lineup, designed for players who value comfort, tone, and versatility. Its lightweight build makes it ideal for extended performances, while its tone-rich mahogany body and neck ensure sonic depth. The stunning figured myrtlewood top adds a boutique aesthetic that stands out on any stage.
Every detail is engineered for performance. The deep-set neck joint ensures incredible sustain, while the cutaway design enhances access to higher frets. The modern U-shaped neck profile, paired with a 1.69-inch nut width and a 12-inch fingerboard radius, offers a perfect balance between comfort and speed. The rosewood fingerboard, adorned with offset fret markers and premium fretwork, feels luxurious and responsive, perfect for intricate solos or smooth rhythm work.
Style meets substance with its eye-catching abalone RYOGA Hornet logo inlay, Gotoh locking tuners, sturdy WSC JSB bridge, and premium black anodized aluminum knobs. Details like a thick tortoiseshell pickguard and rosewood truss rod cover complete its boutique-level design.
Electronics and Tone
Equipped with RYOGA signature pickups, this guitar delivers a dynamic, full-bodied sound with exceptional clarity. These pickups strike the perfect balance: rich and detailed for clean tones, yet tight and punchy for overdriven settings. The RYOGA RS-1 single coil offers great chime and sparkle with crisp attack, recalling some of our Fender favorites. The RH-1 humbucker is slightly hot, dishing out creamy lead tones and fat, punchy rhythm while offering good articulation and clarity. Whether you’re dialing in smooth blues, roaring rock, or shimmery clean tones, the Hornet-H3’s pickups respond beautifully to your touch and sound great individually or blended together.
High-quality Orange Drop capacitors, cloth wiring, and a Switchcraft jack round out the electronics, ensuring reliability and tonal excellence.
