Why we love it
The Vanilla is a boutique handmade distortion pedal carefully designed to have the feel and sound of a Mesa Mk I tube amp. Â Production of this pedal has ended, and it is becoming difficult to find in Japan and very rare to find outside of Japan.
Condition
This effects pedal is in Very Good (near Excellent) condition. The only sign of prior use is wear or tarnish on the pedal name plate. This does not impact sound or functionality. The original packaging and instructions are included.
Description
Blackberry JAM Vanilla released in 2014. This Vanilla is meant to emulate the sound of a Mesa/Boogie Mark I. The video linked in the listing compares the Vanilla to a Benson Preamp. Unfortunately, production of the Vanilla ended in March 2023.
Blackberry JAM operates a stylish cafe and effects studio in Koenji, Tokyo. The brand’s founder, Mr. Nasu, designs the circuits for the handmade original effectors, and his wife designs the casing, including the overall color and control knob selection, as well as the model naming.
