Unusual to find in North America, this limited run made in Japan Fender Hybrid II P-Bass is available now in excellent condition and includes the original gig bag and factory tools. The Hybrid II is a model made only for the Japanese domestic market and a few other international territories, making it unusual to find in North America. The Hybrid II retains a vintage look while incorporating modern specifications to provide a versatile instrument that can suit any player or genre of music. This particular build was a limited edition run for a Japanese music store, and was unavailable anywhere else, making it a bit of a rarity even in the Japanese domestic market.
The satin-finish maple neck offers smooth playability with a modern C-profile, 9.5-inch radius, narrow-tall frets, beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style tuners, and matching headstock. The 1.65in nut is real bone. The matte metallic Satin Lake Placid Blue finish is quite the showstopper and looks different depending on direction and intensity of light. This bass weighs in at a reasonable 8.5 pounds and is well balanced in use.
The Hybrid II Precision Bass is equipped with a new hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil pickup with staggered pole pieces on the well-established alder body, and a sustain block under the vintage-style bridge.
This bass is in near-new excellent condition overall. The only flaw is a very small dent and scuff at the tip of the headstock. The neck shows no signs of warping or waviness, and the frets show few signs of wear. Truss rod operates as it should with plenty of adjustment room in both directions. All controls function as they should with no obvious signs of modification.

New DR Sunbeam 40-100 roundwound strings are currently installed and sound great on this bass. This bass is set up bass for medium-low action (around 2.25mm E). The neck is adjusted for optimal relief, pickup height has been set, and intonation is dialed-in up and down the neck. This bass includes a good condition padded Bacchus gig bag.
