Overview
Modeled after an early 1960s Jazz Bass, this bass features a basswood body with vibrant Shell Pink gloss polyester finish complemented by a mint 3-ply pickguard and matching headstock. The vintage natural finish 2-piece maple neck with lovely classically grained rosewood fingerboard offers the ideal combination of comfort and classic styling. The neck sports a Jazz Bass familiar 1.5-inch (38.1mm) nut width and U-profile that provides a bit of shoulder while still feeling quick and comfortable. The specs of this instrument lend it a Goldilocks quality of “just right” in terms of feel and tone that’ll leave you wanting to keep digging in.
Electronics and Tone
The original Vintage-Style Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups conjure up our favorite aspects of early 1960s Jazz Bass tone. The neck pickup delivers warm, punchy lows while maintaining clear articulation, while the bridge pickup provides that quintessential Jazz Bass growl with crisp, defined highs. Standard controls include neck and bridge volume knobs, plus a master tone knob, giving you all the versatility needed to dial in the perfect sound for any genre.
