Fender Japan Jazzmaster Adjusto-Matic HH Teal Green Metallic

Professor’s Notes

A rare spec alder-bodied Jazzmaster that draws on the best of vintage and modern design cues with a wonderful neck profile, beautiful metallic color, and full, focused and articulate tone.  Exceptional build quality, great tone, lovely to play.

Condition

This guitar is conservatively rated as Very Good condition. It was purchased new but unfortunately was damaged in transit to the USA. The damage to the polyurethane finish has been professionally repaired and is as smooth and glossy as the rest of the finish again. There are remnants of paint damage still visible under the repaired clearcoat (pictured). There is a tiny finish only crack on the lower side of the neck pocket (pictured). There is no impact to function or playability. As this guitar was purchased new and has not been played other than to test functionality, there is no wear to the frets or other parts of the guitar. There is still protective film on the pickguard. There are no issues with the neck or truss rod. All functions operate normally and as new.

This Jazzmaster has been professionally set up with medium action, optimal relief, accurate intonation up and down the neck, and properly set pickup height. The original factory Fender gig bag, case candy and adjustment tools are included. If you’re interested in a package deal including an upgraded gig bag, hard case, or other product(s) we sell, please send us a message.

Overview

This guitar was part of a Japan exclusive limited production run from 2023. This made in Japan Limited Jazzmaster takes many cues from Fender’s MIJ Hybrid series (a shop favorite) with its alder body, simplified control layout, and modern C-profile maple neck. Thanks to its satin finish and slimmed shoulder, the neck is a fantastic balance between modern comfort and playability and traditional width, depth and taper specs. A beautifully figured 12-inch radius rosewood fretboard offers 22 narrow-tall frets for enhanced playability. Teal Metallic Green paint with clear gloss polyurethane finish adorns the select alder body, subtly shifting it’s blue-green tones depending on the angle of light.

A departure from traditional Jazzmaster hardware and electronics, the Jazzmaster HH is equipped with an Adjusto-Matic bridge that provides accurate and stable tuning. There are two Fender Modern Modified Humbucking pickups in place of the typical Jazzmaster single coils.
