Fender Limited Run Hybrid II Jazzmaster Bugundy Mist Metallic FSR

Why we love it

This 2024 limited production made in Japan Jazzmaster is one of only 12 produced. Fit and finish feels a cut above other Hybrid II series instruments (which are already excellent). This guitar is in Mint+ condition as it was purchased new and shows no signs of use. It has only been played to test that everything works as intended. Aside from the rarity, this guitar plays and sounds fantastic, offering full, clear tone with great detail and definition both clean and overdriven.

Condition

This guitar is in Mint condition and shows no signs of prior use. It was tested upon arrival to ensure everything works and that the neck is in good condition. The original tremolo bar, Fender gig bag, warranty card and wrench are included. This Jazzmaster weighs 8 pounds. Aboutique much nicer Fender FE620 gig bag will be substituted for the original (less protective) gig bag and 15-foot Professor Nigel’s low-capacitance instrument cable of your choice will be included.

Overview

This limited run, 1 of 12, Made in Japan Jazzmaster is a rare bird indeed. This is a special run of the Hybrid II Jazzmaster for a single Japanese music retailer finished in Burgundy Mist Metallic with matching headstock.

The 25.5-inch scale satin finished maple neck feels quick and comfortable to play with a 1.65-inch wide real bone nut and modern C-profile. A generous slab of gorgeously figured rosewood is used for the fretboard, which offers 22 expertly finished narrow tall frets and white dot position markers. The classic tonewood compliment is rounded out with an alder body making a package that is warm and full while still offering plenty of detail, depth, and complexity. Quality hardware is used throughout with locking Kluson-style tuners.

The Hybrid II features a pair of newly designed and great sounding single coils custom-voiced for this model. Neck position tones have an articulate, full, and clear bell-like quality. Clarity is retained in the bridge pickup position, with more sparkle and snap without sounding thin. Clean and overdriven tones from this guitar are a joy with excellent note definition whether playing chords or lead runs.
