Fender Made in Japan Hybrid 50s Telecaster – Sherwood Green Metallic

Why we love it

The original Hybrid Telecaster series with US-made Pure Vintage ’58 Pickups are some of the finest Telecasters to come out of Japan. Looking fantastic in rare to find Sherwood Green Metallic, this Tele offers the best of vintage vibe and modern playability.

Condition

Rated as Excellent, this Telecaster has been well-cared-for and shows only minor signs of use, such as fine pick marks on the pickguard and small scuffs and dings around the body. Most marks on the body are subtle and don’t penetrate the finish. There is one small chip (about 2mm) on the back of the lower bout near the strap button (pictured). The frets show minimal wear with no impact on playability, and the neck shows no signs of waviness. Electronics are fully functional, and the truss rod is in excellent working order with plenty of adjustability. The previous owner replaced the factory bridge with a Gotoh Modern Bridge with individual string saddles, making setting accurate intonation and string height a breeze. We do have a matching Fender bridge original to this model if you’d prefer an unmodified setup, just send us a message.

Currently strung with fresh D’Addario EXL 110s, it’s set up with optimal relief, low action, dialed-in intonation, and adjusted pickup heights to bring out the best in tone and comfort. Weighing in at 7.75 pounds, it’s balanced and ready to play for hours on end. A brand-new Fender FE620 gig bag with ample 20mm cushion is included for secure transport, with optional hard case available upon request.
