Condition
This bass is in Excellent condition, with two very shallow scratches and one small scuff on the back of the upper horn (pictured). The rest of this bass looks shiny and new. The truss rod is in good working order with adjustability in both directions. The neck is straight with no signs of warping or waviness. The electronics are in perfect working order.
This bass weighs 8.6 pounds and feels well balanced in use. This bass will include a brand new Fender FB610 gig bag and has been set up with D’Addario EXL 45-105 strings with dialed-in intonation and medium low action.
Overview
Modeled after a 1962 P-Bass, this bass features a basswood body with gleaming Torino Red finish and white 3-ply pickguard. It is equipped with a vintage natural finish 2-piece maple neck with superbly grained thick slab rosewood fingerboard. The neck feels great in hand, with a 1.65-inch (42mm) nut width and U profile that manages to be chunky without feeling clunky and slow. If an instrument can feel confidence inspiring, this one is right there.
Electronics and Tone
The original Vintage-Style Split Single-Coil Precision Bass pickup has a wide tonal range and is compatible with a wide range of genres. It is round without being muddy and warm without being dull and lifeless and fully reproduces the charm of the Precision Bass. The tone is thick, sweet, and punchy. Controls are traditional master volume and tone.
