The Dauntless Low Capacitance Instrument Cable
Bring it on, the Dauntless is ready for anything. It’s our go-to cable. It’s a workhorse, but this doesn’t mean it’s boring. If you’re not sure where to start with upgrading your cables, start here. The Dauntless has a low capacitance of 27.3 pF/ft (90 pF/m), so it retains more upper-mid and high frequency information than cables with higher capacitance when used with passive pickup instruments. Yet, unlike many lower capacitance cables you rarely end up in brittle or harsh territory with brighter single coil pickups or amp/speaker combos. To the Professor’s ear, this cable has a sprinkle of mojo dust that makes you want to keep playing. The Dauntless demonstrates many favorite qualities from the Looking Glass and Siren models in one cable.
The Dauntless is a great choice for any guitar, bass and keyboard application. Due to the thinner outside diameter of the base cable, this includes shorter patch cables and fitting into tighter spaces when used with the right connectors. If you’re looking for “one cable to rule them all”, this is a great choice.
This version has a rugged white and black checker Techflex outer sleeve that looks great and provides plenty of extra armor as well as red heat shrink on the cable ends for additional strain relief. Premium quality made in USA and UK components used throughout the construction of this cable. G&H copper core connectors will bend but resist breaking if stepped on. Additionally, the all metal construction means fewer plastic pieces prone to wear and breakage. These features add up to a cable ready for wear and tear you’ll throw at it on stage or in studio many years. A leather cable keeper is included.
