Condition

This bass is in Very Good condition with the expected signs of wear for an oil-finished instrument. There are no structural issues or functional problems. Cosmetic wear includes contact marks on the back of the upper horn and a light stain within the horn’s curve. Minor dings and scuffs can be found near the lower horn, control cavity, and lower bout perimeter. Light patina is visible on the tuning machines and bridge components.
The electronics appear unmodified and function perfectly. The binding, block inlays, and bone nut are all in excellent condition, with the nut height cut precisely and the binding securely in place. The frets have been freshly polished and show only slight wear. The neck is arrow-straight with no signs of warping, and the truss rod adjusts cleanly in both directions.
This bass has received a thorough multi-point inspection and was professionally set up with 45-100 roundwound strings, medium-low action, optimally adjusted relief, accurate intonation up and down the neck and pickup height set. This bass weighs in at a comfortable 9.5 lbs and includes a padded gig bag. Hard case options available upon request at additional cost—message us for details.

Overview
Renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and tone, Bacchus instruments like this Premium Woodline 4 are true hidden gems. This model features the original Bacchus Warwick-style two-piece bridge, which is increasingly rare to find on an instrument in this condition.
Its body takes inspiration from the classic Jazz Bass silhouette but with slightly more ergonomic contouring and a refined footprint. Constructed with select alder and topped with a beautifully figured flame maple slab, the brown oil finish enhances both the look and resonance of the wood. The pearloid neck binding and block inlays adds to the refined, top-shelf aesthetics.
The hand-shaped C-profile neck is crafted from maple and fitted with a dense, jet black ebony fingerboard—a premium feature exceptionally hard to come by for modern builds. It’s a player’s neck with vintage roots: fast, comfortable, and built for precision. Gotoh lightweight tuners and the two-piece Bacchus bridge deliver rock-solid tuning and excellent sustain.

Electronics and Tone
Outfitted with Bacchus Original Alnico 5 jazz pickups, this bass brings a focused, articulate voice with well-defined fundamentals and smooth, harmonically rich treble. The control layout includes neck and bridge pickup volume knobs and a push/pull master tone control. The push/pull function engages a series/parallel switch, giving you a “Turbo mode” for thicker, humbucker-like tones when desired. Premium components—such as cloth-covered wiring and a 0.047uF Vitamin Q paper-in-oil capacitor—underscore the boutique-level quality. Simple, intuitive controls unlock a surprisingly wide tonal palette, making this instrument equally at home in funk, jazz, rock, soul, or studio work. It’s a player’s dream: inspiring, versatile, and built to exceed expectations.
