Professor’s Notes
It keeps the Strat idea but shifts the response. The shorter 24.75-inch scale and angled headstock add just a little more give under the hands, with a warmer, rounder voice that still stays detailed and clear. Familiar at first, then quietly different in all the right ways.

Description
The Greco BG Custom is part of Greco’s modern BG line—an original Greco design, not a copy and not a reissue built around a familiar American template. It draws from Greco’s earlier BG concept, but what you get here is a fully resolved modern platform rather than a throwback.
Where the BG-SH is tight, direct, and immediate, the BG Custom introduces a different response under the hands. The shorter 24.75" scale and angled headstock create a slightly more relaxed feel, with notes that compress just a bit and chords that settle rather than snap. It’s a subtle shift, but one you notice right away.
The synchronized tremolo adds to that feel. There’s a bit more elasticity in the system, a softer initial attack, and a more fluid response overall without losing clarity or control. Tonally, the BG Custom leans warmer and rounder while staying articulate and detailed. It retains the clarity you expect from a Strat-style layout, but with less edge and a bit more body across the range.
The pickup layout stays familiar, but with a thoughtful adjustment. The slightly repositioned and angled middle pickup keeps the traditional SSS wiring intact while giving the middle position and the in-between settings a fuller, more grounded response. retaining the character without the thinness.
