Delicious, three dimensional and expressive, it’s difficult to find a bad setting with this tube amp like distortion capable of classic to modern tones. With a Marshall-like core tone and syrupy, nuanced midrange, Blackberry JAM once again nails tube amp like feel that doesn’t disappoint at any gain setting.

Condition

This effects pedal is in Excellent condition, with few signs of prior use that do not impact sound or functionality. The original instructions are included, but the packaging is not. Thoroughly cleaned and tested with a compatible power supply and 9v battery.

Description

The Black Velvet is a boutique handmade distortion pedal carefully designed to have the feel, texture, natural compression, and three dimensionality of a tube amp.  While not modeled after a specific amp model, it features a Marshall-like core tone that will go from lovely lower gain crunch responsive to picking input and volume changes to detailed and fluid modern high gain tones. Great sounding onboard Bass and Treble EQ. A fantastic tube amp-like front end for modern lightweight guitar amps. This pedal is rare to find outside of Japan.

Blackberry JAM operates a stylish cafe and effects studio in Koenji, Tokyo. The brand's founder, Mr. Nasu, designs the circuits for the handmade original effectors, and his wife designs the casing, including the overall color and control knob selection, as well as the model naming.
