The Lemongrass takes the Tube Screamer idea and opens it up—clearer, richer, and far more touch-responsive. Add the 10dB boost and it shifts from articulate crunch to a thick, tube-like roar that feels alive under your fingers. A beautifully made MIJ drive that lifts any amp, especially solid-state rigs that need real preamp warmth.

Condition

This pedal is in Excellent (near mint) condition with minimal signs of prior use. Original packaging and instructions included. An aftermarket red button was added to the boost switch; it can be removed upon request.

Description

The Blackberry JAM Lemongrass is a boutique reinterpretation of the classic TS-style drive—familiar in spirit, but redesigned from the circuit level for a more natural, open, and harmonically rich response. The onboard 10dB boost sits in the gain stage, allowing smooth movement from clear, high-resolution crunch to hot, saturated overdrive while preserving clarity and touch dynamics.

A standout strength of the Lemongrass is what it brings to solid-state amplifiers, particularly small transistor combos and JC-style rigs. It adds tube-like depth, warmth, and dynamic feel, functioning almost like a miniature preamp that wakes up your entire signal path. On tube amps, it excels as both a smooth, musical overdrive and a tone-sweetening front-end enhancer.

Handmade in Japan in small batches, the Lemongrass delivers Blackberry JAM’s signature craftsmanship, responsiveness, and amp-centric feel.
