This bass preamp is in Excellent condition with minor signs of prior use, such as small chips and scratches on the exterior of the case. This unit has been thoroughly cleaned and tested with a compatible power supply. All functions are operational with no issues.

The original box, instructions and original Japanese-market power supply are included. As this preamp has a 15v DC input power requirement, Professor Nigel’s is also including a compatible power supply for 120v use in North America, so the DPA-2B is ready for normal use in the US without a step-down transformer.

The Crews Maniac Sound DPA-2B is a discontinued Japanese bass preamp built around a discrete preamp circuit and designed to preserve the natural character and playing response of the instrument. The powerful EQ section uses Low, High and a semi-parametric Mid with selectable Mid Frequency, allowing anything from subtle corrective EQ to more deliberate shaping without forcing the signal into one predetermined voicing. Independent Channel 1 and Channel 2 level controls make it especially useful for players switching between two basses with different output levels.
