Overview
Expertly crafted at the world renown Fujigen factory, the RYOGA Skater-H3 is a offset-bodied lightweight model designed for musicians seeking standout aesthetics, comfort and performance. The Skater-H3’s combination of an alder body and 5P maple/bubinga neck results in an articulate and detailed sound with focused low end that cuts through the mix. A gentle pearl pink hue with a subtle metallic shimmer, Pearl Rose lends a tasteful and refined presence that changes under varied lighting conditions, exuding elegance with a mature vibe that suits players of all ages. With a sleek 38mm body thickness, this guitar offers easy handling for even the most intense live performances. Weighing in at a hair above 7 pounds, it's a perfect choice for long sets or players prioritizing ergonomics and comfort.
The 25.5-inch scale bolt-on neck with sandwiched maple and bubinga construction ensures a familiar and highly responsive feel. Each neck is repeatedly tested by hand during the shaping process to ensure proper feel and easy playability. The beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard is adorned with unique offset pearloid fret markers and 24 expertly finished medium jumbo Jescar frets. Boutique details abound, as rosewood is also used to top the headstock and as the truss rod cover. A thick transparent 1-piece faux tortoiseshell pickguard and solid retro-style aluminum knobs adorn the front of the Skater, completing the high end look. High quality hardware including very smooth 3+3 Gotoh SG301-P4N tuners and custom-made satin finish WSC JSB-CR hardtail bridge ensure rock solid tuning stability and optimal vibration transfer for the strings.
Tone & Electronics
Equipped with RYOGA’s original RS1 and RH1 pickups, the Skater-H3 is designed to provide a well-balanced output ideal for a range of genres. The RS1 neck pickup offers round yet snappy and detailed tone, packing plenty of single coil vibe perfect for rhythm work and fat leads that stand out. Meanwhile, the RH1 bridge pickup delivers fat humbucker focus and punch with clear midrange and a bite that cuts through. High-quality CTS pots coupled with an Orange Drop capacitor provide reliable, transparent operation with highly usable adjustability for the Tone control. Together, this electronics package delivers a much more versatile tonal palette than you might expect, allowing players to easily switch between sweet, mellow vintage tones and sharp, focused modern sounds. Vintage-style cloth wiring and Switchcraft jack complete the electronics package.
