Description

The Laney LA-STUDIO is a 3-watt all-tube Supergroup-series amp built for players who want real tube feel, strong pedal-platform behavior, and a complete recording workflow in one compact head. It is based on the LA30BL lineage, but scaled into a studio-ready format with a built-in reactive load and integrated Two Notes Torpedo cabinet technology.

At the amp level, LA-STUDIO is open, balanced, and highly responsive. It has enough vintage British character to feel alive, but it does not force your whole rig into one narrow voice. That makes it especially strong for players who want the guitar, drive pedals, boosts, fuzzes, and delays to remain clearly identifiable rather than being swallowed by a heavy preamp signature.

The four-input layout is one of the amp’s most important tools. The Bass inputs provide the more neutral foundation and are especially useful for pedalboards, while the Treble inputs add a brighter, more forward response. Each side also offers high and low sensitivity input options, giving you meaningful control over headroom and gain before you even touch the EQ. Patch the Bass and Treble inputs together, and the amp opens up into a much wider range of blended voices.

The “Studio” part is not an afterthought. LA-STUDIO includes a full internal reactive load for silent cabinet-free operation, a balanced XLR DI output with Two Notes emulation, headphone output, USB access for Two Notes Torpedo control, and MIDI for virtual cabinet preset switching. It ships with curated cabinet presets based on Laney LA412 and LA212 DynIR cabinets, with additional Two Notes cabinet options available through Torpedo Remote.

Use it into a real cabinet, run it silently through headphones, send the XLR out to an interface or front of house, or work directly with the built-in Two Notes environment. The point is not to replace the feel of an amp with a plugin. The point is to give you a real tube amp that already knows how to live in the studio.
