Professor’s Notes
The DEL-mini feels like three great delay pedals hiding in a single tiny, stereo-capable box—tape warmth, analog chew, and digital clarity—all ready to drop into stereo and follow your tempo.
Description
The Nobels DEL-mini is a compact digital stereo delay designed to deliver a “greatest hits” collection of echo tones in a board-friendly package. It offers three carefully voiced modes—Tape, Analog, and Digital—so you can move from vintage warmth to crisp, modern repeats with a simple flip of a switch. Tape gives you slightly degraded, nostalgic echoes; Analog leans into darker, rounded repeats; Digital keeps things clear and precise for rhythmic parts and ambient textures.
Despite its size, the DEL-mini is built to work in real rigs. You get mono or stereo operation via TRS in/out, so you can run it in front of an amp, in a loop, or into a stereo rig with the dry signal staying centered while the repeats spread out around it. A smart tap tempo implementation lets you hold the footswitch to enter tap mode, then tap in your tempo with the same switch—perfect for syncing dotted-eighth patterns or tight rhythmic echoes on the fly.
For further flexibility, the DEL-mini includes switchable true or buffered (trails) bypass, so you can choose between fully hard-bypassed signal or letting your repeats naturally decay after you turn the effect off. Glow-in-the-dark pointer knobs, a rugged mini metal enclosure, and fold-out Mounty-P mounting plates make it easy to see, place, and trust on a pedalboard. In short, it’s a small, practical delay that feels much bigger than it looks—exactly the kind of utility-plus-vibe box that earns its spot on the board.
