Professor’s Notes
This is a guitar to be savored and trusted — lively, responsive, and deeply articulate in a way that keeps pulling you back in. There’s air and openness from the semi-acoustic body, real immediacy and snap from the ash top/alder pairing, and a playing feel that stays easy and inviting without giving up focus, weight, or clarity. It feels resolved in hand and immediately musical.

A tiny ~1 mm cosmetic finish mark is present on the side of the body and is documented clearly in the photos.

Description
The Oopegg Supreme Collection Trailbreaker Mark-II Limited Edition is a thoughtfully handmade Japanese instrument that feels both distinctive and immediately familiar in the best ways. The ash top and alder back create a balanced, complex midrange with real immediacy and snap, giving the guitar a voice that feels alive under the hands rather than smoothed over or generic.

Its semi-acoustic construction adds air and openness, but importantly, not at the expense of focus or substance. There is still weight to the note, clarity across the fingerboard, and a sense of control that keeps the instrument grounded even as it breathes more than a fully solid design. It has that rare quality of sounding spacious while still feeling resolved.

The 24.75" scale contributes to an easy, inviting playing feel, but without the tradeoffs some players expect. Low notes stay focused, the attack remains clear, and the overall response feels composed rather than soft. Combined with the neck shape — which carries some of the reassuring substance of a classic Gibson-style carve while pairing it with a modern D profile and 12" radius — the result is a guitar that feels substantial, comfortable, and easy to lean into for long playing sessions.

The pickup pairing is equally well judged. The neck Euphoreal Custom P90 delivers weight, chew, and articulation, while the Euphoreal Custom Limited Humbucker adds authority and great clarity to the bridge position without overwhelming the guitar’s natural balance. Together, they give the Trailbreaker Mark-II a wide expressive range that suits players who care about touch, dynamics, and note shape as much as outright output.

Visually, the Honey Burst finish, vintage white pickguard, and rosewood details give this limited-edition instrument a strong identity without slipping into excess. Everything here feels intentional. This is not a guitar built to win on novelty or spec-sheet clutter. It is built to reward attention.

The humbucker tone pot push/pull passive capacitor filter adds a useful additional voice to the instrument. Instead of simply rolling off highs, it subtly reshapes the midrange and treble response, tightening the attack and focusing the sound when engaged. It’s a musical, practical feature that helps the guitar adapt easily to different rigs, gain levels, and playing styles without changing the fundamental character of the instrument.

Oopegg guitars are built in small numbers by a dedicated workshop in Japan, where the focus is on feel, consistency, and real-world musical performance rather than mass production. Each instrument reflects careful hands-on work, and subtle variations in resonance and response are part of what gives these guitars their personality.
