Built around a classic JRC4558-based drive circuit, it delivers the response players expect from this category without leaning on boutique pricing or unnecessary complexity. Placed early in the chain, it tightens and focuses the signal before hitting an amp or additional gain stages. Used on its own, it provides a clear, dependable overdrive that cuts through a mix without sounding harsh.
