This is what we want a Muff-style fuzz to be: dimensional, articulate, and responsive without sounding overly compressed. The RAIDEN keeps the scale and sustain of the classic circuit while giving you far more control over how the fuzz sits with the guitar. Another absolute gem from Sumo Stomp.

Condition
This effects pedal is in Excellent (near mint) condition with very few signs of prior use. This unit has been thoroughly cleaned and tested with a compatible power supply. All functions are operational with no issues. The original box is included.

Description
The SUMO STOMP RAIDEN is based on a 1972 Triangle Big Muff and represents the first model in SUMO STOMP's "Vintage Modified" series.

Developed from the same vintage Muff foundation as the earlier BIG MAGE, the RAIDEN retains the rich, powerful character of an early Triangle Muff while making several subtle changes for greater playability. Gain is reduced slightly, while the low-mid response is made fuller to bring out more picking nuance and definition.

The result is a Muff-style fuzz with unusually strong articulation and a broad usable Sustain range. Lower settings retain texture and note separation, while higher settings deliver the scale, saturation, and sustain expected from the circuit without becoming excessively compressed.

The RAIDEN also responds especially well to rolling down the guitar's volume, making it more dynamic and adaptable than many traditional Muff-style designs.

The Tone control is another standout. Rather than functioning as a simple bright/dark adjustment, it offers a highly musical way to contour the effect around different Sustain settings, pickup choices, and guitar voicings. It can compensate naturally for too much or too little high- or low-frequency content, making the pedal easy to integrate into a wide range of rigs.
