Condition

This effects pedal is rated as Excellent (near mint) condition with few exterior signs of prior use. The pedal functions as new. The original box, instructions and unapplied adhesive feet and “Professional Overdrive” sticker are included. It has been thoroughly tested with a compatible power supply and 9v battery to ensure full functionality.

Rare to find outside of Japan, the SUMO STOMP "Short Tail #S430" is an incredibly accurate boutique reproduction of serial number #S430 of the legendary Short Tail overdrive production period with a more pedalboard friendly footprint. With its double-stacked circuit boards, it's much smaller than the original while still using premium hand-wired chips, resistors and caps. As far as sound is concerned, it is intended to be a true “Klone” including tone and gain behavior. A flawlessly anodized CNC milled case with laser etched branding is used to house the Short Tail.

The Short Tail features all the big, open and warm tone of the original with wonderful midrange clarity and bump to cut through the mix. Responsive and dynamic, it adds depth and dimension to your tone without drastically altering the tone of your guitar or amp. It features a buffered bypass specification just like the original. The SUMO STOMP reproductions have become highly sought after just like the original.
