During the development of Vivie’s IRENE66 pedal, the acoustic characteristics of numerous high-end and studio amps such as the Roland JC-120, Marshall JCM900, and JCM2000 were thoroughly analyzed. MINERVA is an overdrive pedal born from that analysis data. MINERVA is a magical effect pedal that can transform the sound of any amp into the ultimate tone.

JC-MS Switch

In JC mode, you can get the best sound for combo amps such as the JC-120. Compared to stack amps, combo amps often have a balanced range in the mid-range, but by toggling the switch, you can produce a high-quality tone without compromising the tone of the guitar or the nuances of the player.

MS mode is a mode suitable for stack amps such as Marshall. By properly adjusting the low and high frequencies with the internal circuitry, you can produce a glossy and sexy tone while retaining the power of the bass and the sharpness of the treble.

The tonal characteristics are tuned to suit combo amps and stack amps, respectively, but there is no reason why either mode cannot be used with any amp. You can switch appropriately according to your amp and guitar.

TUBE Control

This control simulates the acoustic characteristics of the most highly rated amplifiers. It can give you saturated, thick and glossy midrange. On the other hand, if you prefer a tight, crisp sound, we recommend setting it lower. You can achieve great sound at any position, from 0 to full.

Gain range

When the MINERVA's gain control is set to 0, it produces a preamp-like sound that is similar to the sound of a tube amp set to clean tone but slightly distorted when played at high volume. When set to full gain, the MINERVA provides enough gain to handle hard rock. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to play even when highly distorted. It can easily output a wide range of high-quality drive sounds, from low gain to full gain.

Intuitive and practical tone controls

Most tone controls on regular effects have a practical range from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock. However, the tone of the MINERVA can be adjusted without changing the overall sound image. The entire range of each control is usable to find a great tone.
