The Centavo circuit in a much more pedalboard-friendly format. Clear, punchy, and exceptionally good at pushing an amp without losing the character of your guitar. Use it as an always-on tone shaper, high-headroom boost, or rich mid-forward overdrive, with the MOD switch adding useful low-end weight when you want a bigger foundation.

Use it early in the gain chain to add presence and definition, push another drive or an already-working amp harder, or turn up the Gain for a richer, more saturated overdrive sound.

Description

The Warm Audio Centavo MOD puts the same circuit as the full-size Centavo into a substantially smaller, pedalboard-friendly enclosure, with top-mounted jacks making it even easier to fit into a working board.

The familiar Gain, Treble, and Output controls cover everything from clean boost and edge-of-breakup tones to more saturated overdrive. Keep Gain low and Output high to add level, focus, and harmonic character, or increase the Gain for a thicker, more driven sound.

A rear-mounted MOD switch extends the low-frequency response on the lower strings, adding more weight and a throatier response when the rig calls for it.

For players who use this style of overdrive as an always-on tone shaper, amp push, or foundational gain stage, the smaller enclosure and top-mounted connections are meaningful practical upgrades without changing the core Centavo circuit.

Controls

Gain — Controls the amount of overdrive, from mostly clean boost through richer saturation.

Treble — Shapes the upper-mid and high-frequency response.

Output — Sets overall output level, with plenty of available volume for pushing an amplifier or another gain stage.

MOD — Extends low-frequency response on the lower strings for additional weight and a throatier feel.

Quick Start Settings

Clean Push

• Gain: 8–9 o’clock
• Treble: 12 o’clock
• Output: 1–2 o’clock
• MOD: To taste

Adds level, focus, and harmonic character while letting the amp provide most of the breakup.

Edge of Breakup

• Gain: 11–12 o’clock
• Treble: 11–12 o’clock
• Output: 12–1 o’clock
• MOD: Off

Articulate rhythm drive with plenty of pick response and midrange focus.

Fuller Drive

• Gain: 1–2 o’clock
• Treble: 11–12 o’clock
• Output: Unity or slightly above
• MOD: On

More saturation and low-end weight while retaining definition.
