Big, dimensional analog chorus without the oversized footprint these circuits usually demand. The WA-C1 MOD stays full and musical rather than thin or overly glossy, with a genuinely useful vibrato mode and stereo spread that can make a rig feel much wider. The Vintage/Modern option is especially useful, letting you keep the analog preamp in the bypassed signal path or take it out when cleaner gain staging matters.

Description

The Warm Audio WA-C1 MOD takes the analog chorus and vibrato design of the WA-C1 and puts it into a significantly smaller, more pedalboard-friendly enclosure, with several practical updates for modern rigs.

Both the Chorus and Vibrato sections have independent Depth and Rate controls, giving you considerably more range than the vintage designs that inspired it. Chorus moves from subtle analog depth to lush, enveloping modulation, while Vibrato covers richer pitch movement and even rotary-like textures.

The pedal also retains its analog preamp, complete with level control, for added body, bite, and natural compression. In Vintage mode, the preamp remains in the signal path when the effect is bypassed; Modern mode bypasses it when the pedal is off for easier integration into gain-sensitive or more complex rigs.

A selectable 50kΩ / 1.1MΩ Hi-Z input impedance, high/low input sensitivity, wet/dry stereo outputs, top-mounted jacks, and the much smaller enclosure make the WA-C1 MOD considerably easier to integrate into a working pedalboard.

Controls

Preamp Level — Sets the level of the analog preamp.

Chorus Depth — Controls the intensity of the chorus modulation.

Chorus Rate — Sets chorus modulation speed.

Vibrato Depth — Controls the intensity of the vibrato effect.

Vibrato Rate — Sets vibrato modulation speed.

Chorus / Vibrato — Selects the active modulation section.

High / Low Input Sensitivity — Adjusts the input sensitivity for different sources and signal levels.

Vintage / Modern — Determines whether the analog preamp remains in the signal path when the effect is bypassed. Vintage retains the preamp; Modern bypasses it with the effect.

Hi-Z On / Off — Selects between the vintage 50kΩ input impedance and a 1.1MΩ Hi-Z setting better suited to passive instruments.
